Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in a stepdown unit, responsible for providing specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general inpatient units.
Responsibilities: Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, administer medications and treatments, assist with cardiac procedures, assess patient conditions, respond to emergencies, document patient information, educate patients on cardiac health, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure safety and infection control.
Qualifications & Skills: Minimum one year of recent stepdown experience, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications; preferred certifications include PCCN and NIHSS. Must demonstrate critical thinking, strong communication, physical endurance, technical proficiency, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Duties: Provide safe, patient-centered care, interpret telemetry data, manage complex patient needs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and adhere to regulatory standards. Support patient safety, comfort, and education while maintaining confidentiality.
