Role Overview

The Medical Assistant II (MA II) supports patient care under the supervision of a licensed practitioner, performing clinical duties and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This role encompasses all responsibilities of an MA I, demonstrating full competency in clinical functions within assigned clinics or locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing patient care and support clinical procedures
  • Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, injections, and medication administration
  • Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Support the healthcare team in delivering patient-centered, whole-person care

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program, registered apprenticeship, or relevant military medical training
  • Minimum of one year clinical experience as a medical assistant, including vital signs, injections, and medication administration
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
  • Within 30 days: National Provider BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Preferred: National Medical Assistant Certification
  • Healthcare and medical assistant experience preferred
