Role Overview

The monitor technician is responsible for surveillance of monitored and telemetry patients, detecting rhythm changes, and reporting potentially lethal rhythms to a Registered Nurse following established protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and identify abnormalities
• Report significant rhythm changes promptly to nursing staff
• Maintain vigilant surveillance to ensure patient safety
• Follow workflow and safety procedures accurately
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience as a monitor tech
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize critical cardiac rhythms
• Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration
