Role Overview

Perform computerized axial tomography (CT) procedures adhering to professional and departmental standards. Review consultation requests, obtain patient history, and ensure accurate billing. Explain procedures to patients, provide radiation protection, and evaluate scan quality. Assist radiologists with CT-guided interventions, verify patient consent, and prepare contrast media. Maintain equipment, supplies, and documentation, and ensure a safe, clean work environment. Recognize emergencies, initiate code procedures, and administer first aid or CPR when needed. Continually seek educational growth and share knowledge with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Review and consult on requests; obtain patient history

• Assist with biopsies and drainages; verify consent
• Prepare and administer contrast media; evaluate lab values
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and documentation
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate Degree in a related field
• ARRT-CT and BLS certifications
• One year CT scan experience preferred
• Clear communication, confidentiality, crisis management, and customer service skills
• Experience with electronic health records
