Role Overview

Provides direct patient care within the Med Surg Cardiac unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management and post-treatment needs.
• Ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
• Develop and document individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
• Communicate effectively across care continuum and proactively address barriers to care.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid RN license.
• Nursing diploma or associate's degree required; bachelor's preferred.
• Telemetry experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with a high level of alertness.
