Role Overview: A Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care, including assessment, care planning, documentation, and outcome evaluation. They promote a safe, therapeutic environment, collaborate with departments for admissions and transfers, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to address physical, psychosocial, and discharge needs.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise direct patient care, participate in interdisciplinary planning, develop department goals, assist with staff selection and training, and contribute to program evaluation. They ensure compliance with policies, attend training, and serve as a resource for staff and students. Budget management and resource utilization are also part of the role.
Qualifications & Skills: Nursing degree, current Illinois RN license, CPR certification, and CPI certification within 90 days. Preferred experience includes psychiatric care and knowledge of abnormal psychology. Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Additional Requirements: Ability to work within a team, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and uphold professional standards.
