Role: Leads daily management and supervision of respiratory care staff, both clinically and administratively. Performs patient assessments, ventilator management, diagnostic evaluations, and other respiratory therapies. Acts as an expert clinician, providing guidance and resource support to the healthcare team. Responsible for scheduling, staffing, and prioritizing departmental activities.
Qualifications: Requires current RRT credential, RCP license, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree, extensive technical experience (including PICC, Peds, NICU), and leadership experience. Certifications such as NRP, ACLS, PALS, and PEARS are advantageous.
Key Duties: Organizes department functions, administers therapies per physician orders, and ensures accurate pulmonary testing. Educates patients, manages supplies and equipment, and maintains departmental policies. Assists in emergency procedures, supervises staff, and ensures infection control. Responsible for staff training, performance improvement, and complex activity oversight.
