Role Overview

Provides assistance to physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular and pulmonary disorders through invasive and non-invasive tests. Operates specialized imaging and physiological equipment, supports diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and maintains equipment and records results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during procedures, operate advanced equipment, and modify technical settings as needed.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, ensuring radiation safety and aseptic techniques.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot physiologic and cardiac catheterization equipment.
  • Support during catheterization, imaging, and administration of contrast media.
  • Complete documentation, manage supplies, disinfect equipment, and perform general office duties.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred; one year of catheterization experience preferred.
  • Required certifications include ARRT-R, state radiologic license, fluoroscopy license (in CA), and CPR/BLS.
  • Ability to operate complex medical equipment, apply safety standards, and follow infection control protocols.
