Role Overview

This position involves practicing professional nursing by performing independent and delegated medical functions aligned with accepted standards. Responsibilities include providing health promotion, disease prevention, supportive, and restorative care, as well as diagnosing and treating various conditions using specialized knowledge and clinical judgment. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, building rapport, understanding patient needs, and responding promptly to concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and emergency policies, and promote patient safety in medication administration, procedures, and infection control.
  • Assess health status by collecting and analyzing subjective and objective data to identify problems and develop care plans.
  • Prioritize patient needs, triage in-person or via telephone, and implement appropriate interventions, including emergency response.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.
  • Execute delegated medical functions, administer medications, and deliver supportive and restorative therapies, referring patients to additional care when necessary.
  • Coordinate and integrate care across services, manage patient populations, and lead healthcare teams through role modeling and collaboration.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience.
  • Graduation from an approved RN program with clinical experience under supervision.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Registered Nurse license.
  • Strong customer service skills and understanding of patient needs.
  • Preferred: NPI, Taxonomy code, BLS certification.
