This role involves creating and modifying orthotics, evaluating and treating patients of all ages, and adjusting care plans based on patient response and evidence.
Responsibilities include performing patient transfers safely, designing personalized treatment plans, educating patients and caregivers, evaluating clinical findings, and documenting care according to policies. The role requires evaluating impairments related to orthopedic and neurologic conditions, conducting objective testing, applying therapeutic modalities, and communicating progress to referring providers. Supervising support personnel and completing required continuing education are also essential duties.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
- Ability to perform patient transfers and demonstrate safe body mechanics
- Patient assessment and care plan development
- Use of therapeutic techniques including tape and modalities
- Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team
- Documentation and compliance with clinical policies
- Mentoring support staff and completing ongoing education
