Role: Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for performing imaging procedures, operating equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and maintaining proper documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Duties

  • Operate all Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment, including imaging techniques, data processing, and protocol management.
  • Ensure radiation safety principles are followed, properly document radiopharmaceutical handling, and manage radioactive materials according to regulations.
  • Perform equipment Quality Control (QC) and troubleshoot issues, maintaining accurate records in the SYNTRAC system.
  • Provide patient care tailored to age and needs, supporting departmental policies and procedures.
  • Use Radiographic Information System and PACS effectively for image management.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff, foster teamwork, and uphold departmental standards.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, process enhancement, and departmental activities to optimize operations.
  • May serve as Radiation Safety Officer, ensuring compliance and safety protocols are met.

Qualifications And Skills

  • High School diploma or GED; completion of an approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • 2+ years of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
  • ARTR Registered in Nuclear Medicine (N) or Certified CNMT from NMTCB.
  • Licensed as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Florida with Nuclear Medicine qualification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency with computers, data entry, and documentation systems.
