Role And Responsibilities
The Safety Technician leads safety initiatives in a semiconductor facility, performing daily safety observations, inspections, and audits to ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to site safety programs.
They participate in safety meetings, contribute to incident investigations, and serve as a first responder for on-site injuries.
The technician oversees scaffolding inspections as a competent person and manages non-compliance issues, ensuring proper documentation and escalation.
They review and approve safety metrics, track progress, and report on safety KPIs to foster a safety-focused culture within the organization.
Qualifications And Skills
Candidates should have 7+ years in Health & Safety roles, preferably hold an Associate of Science degree, and pursue recognized safety credentials (e.g., CHST, CSHO).
A strong understanding of hazardous materials, OSHA regulations, and management system standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.) is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with safety standards and compliance processes are essential.
