Role Overview: A Direct Support Professional supports individuals with disabilities to lead healthy, meaningful lives through assistance with daily activities, healthcare, community integration, and personal development.

This role involves teamwork, adherence to regulatory standards, and dedication to enhancing clients' independence and quality of life.

- Providing personal care, hygiene, and grooming support while encouraging independence.
- Monitoring health, administering medications, and documenting medical information per policies.
- Facilitating community involvement by transporting individuals to appointments, activities, and events.
- Assisting with nutrition, meal preparation, and mealtime support.
- Supporting mobility, safety, and emergency procedures, including First Aid and CPR.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of activities, progress, and incidents in electronic records.
- Implementing behavioral support plans and promoting positive social behaviors.
- Engaging in team communication, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Ensuring a safe, hygienic environment and supporting program participants' overall well-being.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport individuals.
- Ability to pass background checks and complete required training and certifications.
- Strong communication, patience, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required, as training is provided.
