Role Overview: Performs comprehensive respiratory care for patients following physician orders, acting as an advanced resource for healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities: Conducts patient assessments, administers therapies, consults with physicians on treatment effectiveness, and uses various respiratory care devices. Performs duties as assigned to support patient health and safety.
Qualifications & Skills: Must be a graduate of a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program, hold a current RCP license, and possess the NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. PALS certification is required for ER staff. Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification and critical care experience.
Physical Demands & Equipment: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., perform kneeling, crouching, and crawling, with necessary use of respiratory care devices. Physical stamina and proper equipment handling are essential.
