Role Overview: This position is designed for current Co-Op students to support the Pharmacology team in a biotechnology setting.
Key Responsibilities: Perform biochemical and cell-based assays, support mammalian cell culture, execute experiments such as qPCR, Western blot, flow cytometry, and reporter assays, analyze data, and present findings. Additionally, contribute to an independent project aimed at advancing platform technology and collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Computational Design and Chemistry & Screening. Maintain detailed lab notebooks and support ongoing pipeline programs.
Qualifications & Skills: Pursuing a BS or MS in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related fields; hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture; familiarity with assays like qPCR, Western blot, flow cytometry; strong attention to detail; excellent communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively; enthusiasm for learning new techniques. Prior research or internship experience is preferred.
Additional Info: Candidates will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop professional skills. Compensation ranges from $25-$35 per hour, with no health benefits due to the short-term nature of the role.
