Role Overview

Seeking qualified candidates to join the expanding Pharmacist Specialist Team in Emergency Medicine Hospital Pharmacy Practice.

Responsibilities include distribution, consultation, education, research, and supervisory duties, providing expert guidance on medication use within the specialty. The role involves serving as a preceptor for pharmacy education programs and leading quality improvement projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current, active Board Certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, preferably in Emergency Medicine (BCEMP). Candidates with PGY2 training must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy (Pharm.D. or B.S.)
• Either completion of PGY1 and PGY2 residencies or equivalent experience in the specialty area.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Experience in pharmacotherapy, research, scholarly activities, and clinical teaching is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively, with project management skills and proficiency in computer applications.
  
  

Licensing & Certification

• Eligible for licensure by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
• Academic appointment within 18 months of hire.
  
  

Additional Details: The role is full-time, with an alternate schedule of days and evenings, every 3rd weekend, and does not involve sponsorship or visa transfer. Compensation ranges from $125,000 to $188,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
