Role: The Manager of Pharmacy oversees pharmacy operations, supervising pharmacists and support staff to ensure efficient and compliant medication management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing, training, and scheduling for pharmacy personnel.
• Supervise and support pharmacy staff, providing guidance on patient care and duties.
• Manage drug inventory, ensuring proper storage, security, and handling of medications, including narcotics control.
• Assist in planning, evaluating, and implementing pharmacy programs and policies.
• Maintain open communication, build collaborative relationships, and promote a positive team environment.
• Perform duties of a staff pharmacist and assume pharmacy responsibilities in the absence of leadership.
• Complete evaluations, support professional growth, and foster continuous improvement in patient care.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy school.
• Licensed as a registered pharmacist and certified as a pharmacist preceptor by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Preferred 3-5 years healthcare experience, including hospital pharmacy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, leadership, planning, and scheduling skills.
