Role Overview: Provides specialized wound care to patients with acute and chronic wounds in inpatient and outpatient settings, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform wound assessments, develop treatment plans, and apply advanced therapies.
• Educate patients to promote healing and prevent complications.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state or within a compact license region, meeting all state requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification required; wound care certifications preferred but not mandatory.
