Role Overview: The lab assistant is responsible for receiving, sorting, and preparing clinical hematology specimens, ensuring accurate handling and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing
• Perform specimen scanning and data entry of patient information
• Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and replenish supplies
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfort with biological specimens and accurate identification
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
• Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work extended periods sitting or standing
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Laboratory or production experience preferred
