The department is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a multidisciplinary Neurologic Surgery team, working in inpatient and outpatient pediatric and adult neurosurgical care.
Responsibilities include managing patients through protocol-driven strategies, providing comprehensive care within the full scope of practice, and collaborating closely with physicians, residents, nurses, and staff. This role operates with a high level of autonomy but does not involve surgical assisting in the operating room.
Qualifications include a master's degree from an accredited nursing or PA program, current Minnesota RN license, FNP or CNS certification with DEA, NCCPA certification, and eligibility for DEA registration. Preferred experience in neurosurgery and excellent time management skills are essential.
Additional requirements include obtaining and maintaining BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications within the first year. The position is part-time, nonexempt, with hourly pay ranging from $57.63 to $80.42, working 10 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
